At what revenue did you stop doing your own books?

I white-knuckled QuickBooks myself until about $900k in revenue and it cost me a clean year-end. Curious where everyone else drew the line — headcount, revenue, or just the moment you missed a filing?

Hit about $600k and handed it off. Not because the bookkeeping got hard, because I stopped doing it on time.

$1.4M and still in QBO myself. Takes me 3 hrs a month. Sorry, not paying $900 for someone to hit reconcile.

You are not paying for reconcile, you are paying for the person who notices your COGS drifted 4 points before your banker does. But if you actually look at your numbers monthly you are fine.

The real answer is payroll. The month you add employees is the month you stop being your own bookkeeper.
